It's hard to put into words what this past month has been like for us, and I'm constantly shaken by how unfair it is that we must all lose our parents eventually. Still, it feels too soon. My mom was gone in a flash, in barely six months, and I'll forever feel robbed of more time together.
There's no video today, as we celebrate her life the way she would want-- with all her family, friends, neighbors, and loved ones from all over the world, converging to share stories, music, good food, and trying to reflect back some of the goodness she shined on us all.
