I wasn't there for every rookie QB but he seems pretty good. I don't get paid for my outrageous takes.

Man, it’s sad how many commenters here don’t understand what a rookie is. Tom Brady and Mahomes were not rookies their first seasons as the starter 🙄

@MARZOSIRUS

Jayden is up there but I would say Kurt Warner his first year starting Won the SuperBowl. Yes Kurt was much older but it was his first year starting.

@Feldubb

I guess I include players first year starting, and Pat won the MVP with 5K yards and 50 TDs in 16 games. But jumping right into the fire, I think Jayden is the best, it’s his accuracy for me. It seems like that’s the hardest part for a rookie QB, the speed is so much different, hitting those windows is much harder, and he was hall of fame accurate.

@andreh1888

So does everyone else. At least anyone with a passing knowledge of the NFL.

@chrisp2813

Nope. Mahomes was, but they didn’t let him play. 😂😂

The eye test off the first few games was eye-popping.

Thanks for the Newsflash Keyshawn.. 🥱

@stephenfulbright9772

I’d say Mahomes. Mahomes just didn’t have the opportunity.

@Gotexanz

Toss up between him and CJ but I’m bias. Jayden rushing ability made him a real threat but CJ did it in more pro style offense. Both were incredible tho.

If it wasn't for Mahomes starting in the very last regular season of 2017 against Denver, PM15 could have had an outstanding rookie season that took him facing TB12 in that infamous 2018 AFCCG. Still, Jayden Daniels is 100% off to a great start for a rookie.

@JackRice007

For once, I actually agree with Keyshawn Johnson

Sooooooo Brock Purdy....the guy that took the 49ers to two nfc championships and a super bowl appearance is lower than Jayden Daniels now I admit he's a excellent qb 100% but "in the history of the game" I don't think so

@DarinBills

Marino

@TheJunuz

Purdy was better, without an o-line...

@mikeb5183

Maybe..but back in the day Dan Marino came out slinging. Would have been rookie of the year except Eric Dickerson ran all over everyone that year, 1983, and won it.

Tom Brady should not be a measuring stick for this kid....well nobody really is. Those are big shoes to feel no matter how anyone feels. Carried or not who else can say they have 7! No NFL team can say that! Bro has 7. SAN FRAN!!!
