Jill's diet troubles weren't a laughing matter it was a cry for help as she was substituting food to deal with an emptiness of opening her heart up and losing a child (although in a good way) that could have turned her back to the bottle. She had her relapses but I don't think the diet was funny it was clearly the moment you saw it that it was a cry for help.
