We need your help in Dudley Shoals, North Carolina! Our little 9-year old friend, RJ Watson is an ardent Cowboys Fan...I know, I know, as a Philly girl, it kills me to even write those words...and he is fighting for his life right now in Levine Medical Center in Charlotte. He was traveling in a car driven by his Momma on Friday evening when they were struck, head-on, by an intoxicated driver who walked away with minor scratches. RJ (#88 for the Southern Caldwell Optimist Youth Football Team) is a teammate of one of my sons. He and his Momma suffered multiple head traumas, lacerations throughout their bodies (both external and internal) and are both in extremely critical condition as I write this. RJ's been pretty much unresponsive since being airlifted to the hospital Friday night, EXCEPT when talk of football came up yesterday, and specifically the mention of CeeDee Lamb/his beloved Cowboys team. So, I am praying with everything in me that someone out there in the interweb has some connections and could somehow get a message to Mr. Lamb that a 10-second message to RJ truly might be what gives that little fighter the desire to fight with as much grit and determination as my favorite Eagles players do every gameday. Heck, I might even consider never disparaging the Cowgirls ever again if someone can help us help RJ. If you read this far, thanks. Please stop and say a prayer for our friends RJ and Tara!
