Remember I did a trip report on the route from Chaudfantaine to Spa in June 2021, published on the 2nd of June? (You cab check the video here https://youtu.be/seXk0qkXdrs). I promissed to donate 50% of the advertisement revenue I earn over the first 3 months to the Ocean cleanup and I made a deal for a giveaway. However this video performed so extremely bad on YouTube that I'm actually embarrassed to even contact the company for the giveaway. Only a bit more over 1K views after 6 months.
However, instead of domating 50% of the earnings over the first 3 months after publication, I will more or less 200% of what I've earned over the first 6 months. This isn't that much either, but at least it's a bit better. I earned in total € 3,12 until now, so I will donate € 6,- to the ocean cleanup (right now).

Being monetized on YouTube isn't something that makes a lot of money, but it's a nice extra motivation of course. However the earnings are in general really low and what I do earn will be directly invested in the channel again (as a matter of fact, it costs me money, but I don't mind because I really enjoy making these video's).
