I'm taking a content break for Christmas. This would be the first time in several years that I have the physicality to attend numerous Christmas events. I'm usually a Christmas Grinch, but there's actually a lot of fun things lined up this Christmas. I have overall been feeling much better this year after getting a handle on all of the health problems but I caught RSV from some holiday guests so my voice is pretty fried right now. Recording long form content is pretty much not an option. I can do the daily shorts, but not much more. Beyond that, the Christmas celebrations will still require a high degree of effort from me. Normally I could work through Christmas but I don't think I have the ability to work through Christmas when my starting point is getting over a bad cold. So this year I've decided to actually let content rest a little bit and focus on spending some time with family. There will still be daily or semi daily science shorts for the foreseeable future. Maybe a few gaming ones too. There's also a chance that I post my Marvel Rivals review if my voice recovers and I can find some quiet time to record. That video is 75% done but my voice quit before I could record the commentary for it. Also a chance of a Meta Quest 3S video if the sponsor is able to mail it in before the new year.

This has been an overall incredibly good year for me in terms of health and content satisfaction. I finally got all of the answers for my medical problems, and most of the treatments were successful too. I'm still weaker than I want to be, still handicapped, still a little bit immunocompromised, but improving rapidly. I've made more quality of life gains in the last 6 months than I have in the last 4 years. The trend is extremely positive. My goal is to continue focusing on exercise and healthy living in hopes of maximizing recovery potential. This has also been a very fun year for content experimentation. I've always wanted to make more exciting content than just CoD reviews. So, I've been experimenting with new types of content pretty much all year long. This year we've done gaming, VR Gaming, Tech, science, politics, philosophy, news, Firearms content, food content, video essays, film parodies, Manga reviews, feminist film theory, horror movies, live streams, and even media meta-analysis. Not all of them have been hits, but they were all fun to make. It's also been mentally rewarding to experiment and try to understand what makes certain genres of content successful. I've made some of my best videos of all time this year. I'm hoping that next year allows me to maintain this level of experimentation. Thank you all for watching, and I'm going to have some great stuff for you in 2025!
