I checked "Practicing scales and arpeggios daily" but that choice needs to be added to with "chord shapes and inversions up and down the neck in all keys, chord scales, harmonic analysis of classic standards, and playing a lot of tunes". There's a great book by some guy named Brent Vaarstra called "Visual Improvisation For Jazz Guitar" that is an excellent introduction and guide to doing this. LOL

All of these, and also very conscious effort on improving dynamics (on piano). I have a long way to go in that regard, but at least I am aware it's a problem and I'm focusing on it. Also always trying to develop a better ear for chords, especially the use of chords borrowed from parallel minor, and dim chords as passing chords.

Really all of them, but I have to choose only one, is to break into smaller parts

Non of the above… 1st putting on the radio and playing pentatonics over it for hours. 2. Same but with major scales. 3. Learning the pentatonic with a raised 5th. 4. Learning to move trough the scales following the circle of fifths in the same spot. 5. Using the app in the number notation instead of the notes notation made it way easier.

All of these things will help, but it’s important to not make music a chore either so you don’t lose interest and the joy of playing.
