I AM TAKING A BREAK

The eventual goal of efficiency, productivity and high-functioning time management is to create a balanced system, where the things you want to do and the time you have to do those things stay in an equilibrium. The problem I have is that I have a high drive to get *everything* done — excel at my day job, run a successful YouTube channel, build startups, be there for my family, remain a good friend, and much more. And naturally, the more stress points you add to that equilibrium, the more it becomes imbalanced, until something eventually gives, and it snaps.

For me, that snap has sadly occurred with my health. Nothing seriously wrong, but I just have not been able to spend time on it for a long while now. Since 2020, I’ve failed miserably to focus on my health, and as a result, I’ve gained over 35 pounds (16 kg) during this time. I read somewhere, “When you don’t have time to do something, it’s not that you don’t have the time, because everyone has the same 24 hours, but what you are trying to do is just not important enough to fit within that 24 hours.” And I think this is very true. So, before this turns into an actual health issue, I’ve decided to prioritize getting into shape for the rest of 2022.

To make time for that, I will be taking somewhat of a break from YouTube for the rest of the year. This does NOT mean that there will be no videos. I already have a few great videos in the pipeline, and I have some amazing ideas that I’d like to execute this year as well. This just means that you will not be seeing a video every week after September. It will most likely be one every month.

I am also not going to disappear from social media. I will be hosting AMAs on Instagram as usual @engineeringwithutsav, perhaps even more frequently, and you can always DM me if you have any questions!

Finally, I want to thank every single one of you legends for your support these past years. I am beyond humbled by all of this, and I hope that my channel provides enough of a value that you will stick around through this short break as well.

Thank you! 🙏🏼
