I’ve never felt so embarrassed to be part of a community. Ren made so many posts about not going after Kujo Beats, don’t give him hate, let Ren handle it himself, yet a bunch of slow azz people still went out on a crusade, not only were they spreading the exact opposite message Ren values, but they went after the wrong person who had nothing to do with this. Can we go show this homie what the real Renegades represent? ‪@KuGuapo‬ sorry G.

I feel like there’s a huge difference in Renegades (who understand and share his values and are more into encouraging others because they respect Ren and are fans of his character and music) vs just fans of his music that are the ones acting ugly towards people. It’s absolutely broken my heart to see people being rude to people and not respecting Ren and his highly voiced request to not spread hate. It gives ppl the wrong perspective of ren. 😓 he’s such a kind soul and kindness is what should be sprea

People are missing that he used all of the Ren and Kujobeats hashtags, so he was looking for trouble or to raise his profile. Which he's succeeded with, and still claims innocence. I won't give him grief, but it doesn't sit well with me.

Absolutely agree with the no hate. It was embarrassing to see some of the comments. He did, however, initially tag the video with several ren/kujobeatdown tags and the name of the video. Then changed both the name and tags after several thousand views and really negative comments. I can't see why he would do that unless he wanted the traffic. It bothers me that he is playing innocent like he didn't know about the situation. I saw the video when he had just posted with less than 100 views. But as a reactor and someone way more knowledgeable than me, maybe you know more than I do about why he would use all those tags initially. Is that a common strategy? Still, no matter what, the hateful comments were out of control and not representing Ren at all.

I don’t understand what these people thought they would get out of going after Kujo or any person they mistakenly took to be Kujo in this way. I mean it’s just dumb, it doesn’t help Ren in anyway way, shape or form; and it ultimately achieves nothing in the end. However, it doesn’t surprise me that people did this. I did suspect when I saw Ren’s track, despite the disclaimer at the end and the statement Ren made shortly afterwards, that this kind of thing would happen. Primarily, because the overly harsh portrayal towards Kujo shown in Ren’s video, even though intended artistically by Ren and in no way intended to be acted out in real life, would inevitably be totally misunderstood by a largish minority of dimwits out there; and seen in some way as providing sudo-permission to get verbally stuck-in to Kujo. I think Ren was a little naive if he thought some idiots wouldn’t misuse his art as a means to just get angry or cause trouble. That’s why I didn’t like the aggression displayed in the video because ill-minded people just feed on this kind of imagery. It was obvious to me that Ren’s video wouldn’t be taken by everyone to be exclusively and purely artistic. This is because to me there was an underlying harshness towards Kujo intentionally displayed, which blurs certain lines between real life and art because the video was about real lives: Ren’s own, Kujo’s and his girlfriends; and also because it was about a real life ongoing situation. I do hope Ren reflects on this for the future with regards to how he reflects his ongoing issues within his art, and also that the dimwits who enacted such vitriol in their comments get a grip of themselves and realise their stupidity moving forward. I think Ren will learn from this, but somehow unfortunately, I doubt the intentionally destructive keyboard warriors, pretending to be Ren fans out there probably won’t.
