Well, it is complicated. You have a Black Belt in Kajukenbo. (And that is fine) Here is the problem: Karateka from Japanese Karate will most likely not recognize or accept Kajukenbo as a Karate-Style. I am from Germany and the JKA and then WKF dominated the spread of Karate here, so I know how Japanese Karateka think. It is mostly because Kajukenbo is not connected to Okinawan or Japanese Karate. I know, it actually is in a way, but the main connection they are looking for are Kata/Forms which must be based on some of the authentic Okinawan Katas. Some even have problems to accept Tang Soo Do as Karate, although Tang Soo Do-styles use the same Katas with minor changes and Korean terminology. In Kajukenbo the Forms, like the Palama Sets, are own developments. (Does not mean they are bad. Maybe they are even more legit than in Karate, because your Black Belts still know what tthe moves mean. Karate Bunkai with the old Katas is like always coming up with another theory that does nott make sense ) On the other hand, the founders of Kajukenbo did actually set Kajukenbo apart from Karate themselves. I mean, they made up the Ka(rate)Ju(jitsu?)Ken(po)Bo(xing)-name and told everyone it was a "Hybrid system", right?
