I’ve done a handful of sponsored content. It definitely helps keep my channel going, but man, so many viewers drop off the moment the unskippable ad starts. Even if I incorporate it with the subject of the video. Viewers are smart and they like 100% authenticity. Sometimes that’s hard to do with paid endorsements.

Put it where you need to put it. Whatever it takes to help your channel.

Just make it so I can skip it during the video. I will watch it if it's interesting to me but most of the time I just skip or fast forward. Do what you gotta do B-King 😁

Whatever you need to do is good by me. But since you asked, a straight up ad is preferable IMO. I don’t begrudge anyone making a living. Sponsored content can feel off. Sometimes even insulting… like the creator thinks they can fool their audience.

I almost 95% of the time skip ads. Now I know they are very helpful for people channels operations, I just dislike being pushed crap I will more than likely not buy and/or use. The only times I dont, is either when it's very smoothly incorporated within that videos content (I've only see two YTers do this very well, one is a language guy and the other history buff guy), or if there is a timer to let me know how long I need to tune out long enough so the YT can get their credit from YT or the sponsor. Otherwise, I either click off the video or skip through, and then I end up going too far and don't bother to rewind, so I miss more of the video.

From a viewers perspective: Make it clear it is sponsored content/product. Separate your content from the sponsored so you have some separation from a sponsee going bad. Let me be able to skip by it, or keep integrate it if it’s part of your message (an example is some of your HF tools, and why you use them).

don't like it, unless it has something to do with what they are working on. otherwise just pushing more crap at us.
