Zelda from Spirit Tracks is my favorite character from the series… U see her go from kind of a selfish brat who wants to sit around and let link go and save the day until she actually has to go with him… along the way the two grow closer, she complements you a lot more, and her character is full of personality. She’ll yell at and hit you if you hit her too many times, she freaks tf out whenever there’s any rats, and she dances any time you play a duet.. those are just a few reasons.. best part of her character is at the end when her and link hold hands after everything settles … making it one of the few games to somewhat hint or even confirm at a possible relationship between the two that’s more than friends this game also has another one of my favorite characters Byrne… dudes got a whole arc and everything but the best part is bro has a giant metal gauntlet rocking a bandana and ponytail he’s him

Blue Dog from Majora's Mask, it took him 25 years to finally win a race and it made me emotional. He is always a winner in my heart.

I’m surprised Tatl from Majora’s Mask doesn’t get more credit. She starts out disliking the hero of time, but realizes how bad Skull Kid has become and starts appreciating Link’s heroic nature when he agrees to help her. We see why she and her brother care about Skull Kid and after some time with Link she (reluctantly) kinda apologizes. And when she says thanks to him at the end it’s really sweet.

King Harkinian is the best iteration of the king of Hyrule. - He cherishes Zelda as his daughter and treats Link like his son. - Whenever a kingdom is in danger, he immediately does what he can to aid them. - He gives merciful sentences to people deserving of death. - He encourages peace and doesn't take peacetime for granted. - He stays positive and appreciates the little things like dinner.

Vaati was who I put down first. Though he's largely forgotten and probably not all that popular, he was actually the first villain I encountered in my first Zelda game. (Four swords adventures, (yes the weird DS anniversary one, not four swords proper) ) and curiosity over his start in Minish Cap was part of what got me into the series, I think. He remains the only villain besides ganon/dorf (to my knowledge) to have served as the main villain in 2 (technically three games) and it's even the same version of him in pretty sure. Which I find neat. He also was one of those characters that introduced me to the idea that characters could present a little outside the typical gender expression. (Something honestly Zelda has many examples of) Which was something that I gravitated towards as a trans kid who didn't get know that haha. It's also kind of cool to have a villain have a direct connection and history with the companion character (lazlo in this case) I think the only other example would be midna and zant, but they weren't close. I remember feeling bad for the guy and regretting him being sealed away and turned into a monster when I was younger. I even once cosplayed the guy! Gotta say, lavender is a rad hair color too.
