CX-5 is made in Japan. It's always best to buy a car manufactured close to the company's headquarters.

I debated this exact decision 3 years ago and ended up getting a cx-30. You can get a fully loaded cx-30 for the same price as a mid range cx-5 so the question was really do you want more space or more features? The driving dynamics of the cx-30 is ultimately what sold me. Cx-5 feels soft and luxurious, cx-30 feels like a fun little hot hatch. (I love my cx-30 and will be upgrading to a cx-50 in a few months)

Neither as both are too small interior wise compared to the competition. The CX30 has less passenger and cargo room than my civic FFS

CX-30 is a significantly better value than CX-5 (when comparing cheaper trims)

Both are good but dated inside and out for my tastes. That being said, I'd chose the cx-5. I prefer the better interior materials, especially on the rear passenger doors, the better suspension and nicer front end look. The cx-30 looks odd from some angles.

Happy Friday! On Sunday, we compared two Mazda SUVs that a lot of people are cross-shopping... and no, it's not the CX-5 and CX-50, but rather the CX-30 and CX-5! So should you save a few thousand bucks and get the Mazda CX-30 over the CX-5? Go watch our comparison if you haven't already (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ISas...), but we're curious to know which one of these two you're taking! Let us know below :)
