Theres no 28 months because it's gonna be a prequel and turned into a Netflix series leading to 28 years.

In 28 decades later, probably no one will make a sequel because we are all extinct 😂

"The king regains his pulse after 2800 years, his mind after 280 years, his strength after 28 years, and the world in 28 days."

Part of what I love from the original film is how realistic everything feels, especially the infected. They were not the typical undead creatures. They were just very sick and angry people. It felt like something that could actually happen, I guess, is part of the reasons why it is still so scary, not to mention their scary look, those bleeding eyes that still give me nightmares even today. Anyways, hopefully, 28 Years Later will give those infected justice instead of making them some sort of super Zombies like the ones from WWZ.

So I'm assuming from the trailers the "evolution" is they go from Infected to actual zombies.

Just gonna go on a limb here but here's my hypothesis. Since the poster emphasizes that the virus "evolved", there could be one of two things we could see to the infected. One: the virus evolved to the point that it would make the infected gain a little bit of consciousness, but may happen only to individuals who were infected for a long time. This could work but may be a little cliche even though the genre isn't saturated by it. Two: the virus could have evolved so much that it begins to give the infected the ability to generate from bodily damages. While this could have many implications to logic and reality, this would up the ante for the survivors in having to kill the infected by unconventional means, meaning, it will be a challenge for them to survive. Edit: I also forgot to include inhuman strength for the second hypothesis, as we saw on the last few seconds of the trailer, the soldier got lifted up by an infected I presume, with only one arm. But the traits of consciousness, regeneration and inhuman strength could either all be false or all be fact.

In 28 decades, we may finally get that The Amazing Spider-Man 3 that everyone thought the teaser for this was for.

Does the zombie at 1:48 kinda look like Cillian Murphy?

It would be cool if we got something like 28 minutes later, where we got to see everyone quickly realise shits hitting the fan and start panicking and the world going into chaos, unaware how to protect themselves from the rage virus or those infected, only able to run through the world as it falls apart and goes mad in the first minutes and hours

Very well said! That's a great way to sum up the progression of the virus outbreak across the three movies. In the first film, the outbreak began and the world as we knew it came to an end. In the second movie, the virus spread rapidly and caused chaos and destruction. And now, in the third installment, "28 Years Later," the virus has evolved and the world has changed even further. It shows the ongoing impact and adaptability of the virus.
