Taylor Ray

With our new engine coming Monday. I need some input. I’m torn on which car to use it in. I had an idea so I wanted some input.

Plan A - use the baller engine in the RX7 (this is what the engine was meant for) to get into No Prep ASAP. mild build in the Monte later.

Plan B - use the baller engine on the Monte. Build it first. An go all out on the Monte build. I’m talkin 8.50 Chromoly cage. Stick shift. 13-1500hp. Show car race car build with tons of fab work. Polished everything but with AC and full interior and all the other comforts so we can street it for fun and start doing drag n drive events ASAP.

So it’s basically.

Drag N Drive vs No Prep
Streetable Race Car vs Full Blown Race Car build
Manual in the Monte vs Automatic in the RX7

@hazlettmotorsports

You’ve prob told us and I wasn’t listening, but why aren’t you “drag n drive ing” the green regular cab truck?

@BassManBobBassCovers

Definitely think the best option is the RX7. Going to be an insane amount of work to get the Monte Carlos chassis to handle really big power.

@roachwerks3043

The rx7 is already a race car that needs to be finished. The monte runs and drives and you can enjoy it in the mean time.

Taylor doing the drag and drives with the McFarland and Boosted boys crews would be so damn entertaining to watch. Drag and drives make for at least a week of daily content rolling out on most channels. Plus the added bonus of seeing that Monte go 9s..

@BKGboy

That's a hard one, I really want to watch the rx7 get built but I love drag and drive.

I started watching your channel when you got the Mazda, it just popped up on my feed ... now I watch every episode even though I'm not into drifting ... or yard work 😁 I would love to see the Mazda get worked on ... that being said , I like drag and drive cars more than no prep cars .. I'll follow either build regardless

@MRBenchwork

I'm going RX7 for two reasons. One, you are going to inevitably learn a lot from your first Drag build which you can then take that knowledge into consideration for the Monte. Second, The Monte is currently drivable so you can at least move it around out of your way if need be or just enjoy it until it's time.

Monte for sure I love that it was a dream build when you were a kid and I wanna see the passion you put into it. Kinda living vicariously here man. Lol.

@vegetablegod

The Monte isn’t in the lead here, but I’ve been waiting for content on that since you got it!

@mattbauman

I would like to have a no prep car myself at some point but drag and drive is where it's at. Some of the best weeks of my racing days were drag and drives with my son and the homies. And stick shift is the class to contend in for sure.

I know nobody asked but i feel like the drive n drag would be the stepping stone for the no prep stuff. Even if it’s just fix up the monte, make it fun, and flip it. All of that is still content while you figure out what you want to do with the Rx7. Much Love and I’ll watch anything you make 👍

@TheGouldProject

This is a crazy hard question! I absolutely cannot wait to watch your NO PREP RX7 build. But also Drag N Drives and the cars that do them are awesome. I’m going to anticipate watching both!

@adamspedoske8077

Honestly I don't watch a lot of the non build content, so the idea of watching you start with a fresh, stock car and go all out on a drag n drive build would be awesome.

Drag N Drive rx7 would be better. Impractical as all heck, but better. Changing those rears to drive on the street after a race would be a nightmare lol Drag n drive g body’s are overdone

I honestly think that aside from the poll and fanboy stuff the Monte would be way cooler to watch, I love when you build street cars too

I’d start with the Monte since it more like a infill of child memories you had as a kid and make your vision a reality that you had of that car since a kid. Love the car videos keep up the good work. Now I Wished I kept my Monte just for memories and my kids.

I subbed because I enjoy seeing a good fabricator at work. I think the Monte will supply more of that kind of content. It's your time and money though. Have fun.

I’m a G Body baby, but I’m a fan of the channel, so I’m going to enjoy anything you put out
