jQuery has aged horribly. Vanilla js keeps evolving while jQuery is still stuck in the days of XHR, callback functions, iife encapsulation and 'this' hacks

I don’t actually like JQuery. I spent a couple years learning vanilla JS before even touching react.

Astro is the best framework i‘ve ever worked with. It’s extremely simple in its core and still offers a wide range of features.

jQuery is great during the early days of the internet, a library of consistent set of api. Since Internet Explorer is gone, there's no point using it for new frontend development. Personally this makes me realize I'm more familiar with jQuery (and underscoreJS/lodash to some extent) than with newer features of modern frontend vanilla JS. Time to learn those . . .

Me, using HTMX: "i don't have a problem, you have a problem!!!!"

server-side PHP code and not shipping any client-side code other than static HTML & CSS is always the better option :)

HTMX being there makes it a satire which shouldn't be the case. Server should be responsible for tracking state of application, not browser
