At first glance it looks okay until you realize that there's no guarantee that Nebula will be around for 6 years (considering there's just a lot of competition for streaming overall) and the bigger question will be if you will even enjoy it for 6 years just to recuperate the yearly costs.

The video Sam did explaining the business model exposed that the annual option was used for cash flow and valuation purposes. This was already obvious, but he tried to give an image that this was a sound business decision. Reality is that the annual churn rate will make that model unsustainable. Also, YouTube edutainment content is a fairly new concept. The initial demographic is saturated and will be providing a reduced audience over time. Offering a lifetime subscription is screaming desperation. Look at the history of the businesses that have offered lifetime services for a one time fee. They have all been desperate. They have all either gone out of business or used deceptive practices to rescind the lifetime offer. Hard pass from me.

Would be valuable if perhaps it gave you a license and a link to offline and save all of the videos you wanted but without that there’s absolutely no lifetime guarantee

It's 6 to 15 years (depending on several factors) of subscription, it's ridiculous. It's a VERY BAD DEAL.

How can you say it's a lifetime membership when you cannot guarantee that it will be still around for the next decade or century.

“Instead of discussing how Taiwan can defend itself every day, why not let the United States defend Taiwan? If you love Taiwan so much, you should defend it too, even if it means engaging in a nuclear war with China, all in the name of safeguarding democracy and freedom. Let the American soldiers defend Taiwan, mobilize your family to defend Taiwan together, and don’t just make self-indulgent videos. Show your commitment through actions.”

For a limited time, Nebula is offering a Lifetime Membership for $300. Annual subscriptions are still the most affordable option for most people. But if you feel strongly about supporting independent creators and/or just don't like subscriptions, this is for you. Click the link down in the comments below to sign up while this promotion is still available.
