House of the people, beautiful and loving just like you two. Minka. Sounds like a perfect name for a baby doll sheep too. π

Just imagine the voice of Morgan Freeman narrating a story about your house saying "This is the story about a tiny home long pause, then in a deeper and calmer tone this is the story of, The Short Black"

Mystical Bird for sure! You two are travelers and deeply spiritual people, the bird is symbolic of the freedom travelers you both are at heart amongst all the many other synchronistic symbolic obvious other reasons it is fitting for you and your abode. Best of luck!!

Short Black sounds like a drink π₯ Kind of like an Old Fashioned, and I like that. Kakaruia is super cute too though

Short Black only because I love how the builders nicknamed it. The other two names are very good too.

Short Black. I love the idea of acknowledging the builders that constructed it.

I believe minka is used as "civilian house", to differentiate from military or government buildings. Maybe that can be translated to "house of the people" but that feels strange. "Kominka" is used for old style Japanese house.

The Short Black: As an expression of gratitude to the builders, they are the ones who turned pieces of wood and metal into a home.

As a backyard bird enthusiast, I endorse Kakaruia (whose pictures, btw, are adorable.). In fact, I think the home should be adored with a Kakaruia emblem of some kind.

I think you should give it a Kiwi name - but as an Aussie, the humour of the builder's idea appeals to me π

Really torn between the House of the People as that's so you two and how you've drawn everyone together across the world β€οΈ The Robin one is beautiful and perfect for New Zealand π Not keen on the last one, not sure why but it seems a bit incongruous given you're so tall!

βThe Short Blackβ sounds like a reference to Kevin Hart.

I like the Maori name but the builders name is funny!! And easier to spell and pronounce lol

As a kiwi, I like Kakaruia. Living in Australia I like the builders' joke, the Short Black. Then again, Minka is a good, easy word that means what your house will do - ie be a house of the people. Decisions, decisions. Over to you. :)
