Bad question, it depends on the user's needs. Also, this poll needs alternatives, like the Sony SLT screens, and the Panasonic S1H screen.

Not going to vote. It's not an either-or thing. The right tool for the right job. Recording oneself obviously needs a fully articulating screen. But if you're behind the camera, especially shooting video, a “tilty” monitor is best because it keeps it centered with the camera which is better camera hold form but allows you to go high or low and tilt the screen where you can see it.

don't vlog but I understand the need for those who do, a fully articulating screen would actually be a hindrance for me personally when shooting high or low shoots and trying to steady the camera with 2 hands

I love the ability for the screen to flip forward. And the vari-angle style used on many Canon and Olympus bodies is definitely better than the tilty screens used on Sony and some other brands.

Definitely the most useable are the fully articulating screens, whether they are most desirable is a different question, personally I like em :)) and I don't vlog.

I just shot an official event, and the media guys were loving my floppy screen on my R. Even though I had my 5 and 70-200 2.8, I used the R for over 90% of my shots.

3. Option, the tilty screen from the Fuji cameras for portraits. And I don't own a Fuji. Wish more cameras would have those.

Think that should have been split-up a little more. For stills, titly. For video, articulating. However, I have been seeing a lot of kudos going to the Panasonic S1H screen.

Tilty for stills, especially on a tripod. I flippy screen is a pita to use with an L bracket.

Fixed monitor - in 18 years with digital cameras I destroyed 2 monitors. 2. only with mirrorless systems the fully articulated. Screen always sheltered showing towards body. Playback through evf. Tilting - often opens autonomously and is bound to break. Totally unusable for senior citizens like myself
