Hello friends! Here’s sort of a sneak peek of the soprano ukulele. It’s been quite a long time since the last upload, so by the off chance that someone was wondering, I figured I’d let y’all know what’s been going on. The uke build is done, and all the footage is filmed for it, I just haven’t gotten around to editing it, and I’m not sure that I will any time soon. With the pandemic, new baby, toddler and new job all in the span of a few months I decided I really needed to take a break. During that time I’ve done a lot of reflecting on woodworking and this channel. I’ve put four years into this channel. Four years of learning, time, money and effort. The channel got monetized, which is awesome! The subscriber count continues to climb, which is awesome! But the channel had pretty much plateaued in all other respects long before it was monetized. I’m not trying to complain, or garner sympathy, or sound like I’m chastising those who watch my channel, but I’m just saying after those four years that does make it a bit discouraging from wanting to press on with it. Because content is shared for others, and the woodworking niche is so overly saturated with a high concentration of creators that it feels almost impossible to gain any ground. I’m sharing these thoughts only to let my viewers who always show up know what’s going on. I don’t plan on quitting, but videos at least for now will probably be coming out pretty scarcely. In the meantime I’ve been very active on Instagram doing Star Wars toy photography and it’s been very refreshing and the following has been growing pretty good in a relatively short amount of time, which is giving me thought of making a separate channel dedicated to that. We’ll see. But that’s about where it all is. I’m so appreciative of y’all that were here from the get go and have been very supportive of the channel. Maybe when the weather gets nice again I’ll have more of a drive to get back at it again.
