Wow I wondered how you racked up so many hours. Ill make sure to watch these, that's a lot of effort! More power to you man. I didn't realize how little ytp and regular yt views counted for. Glad I can add an extra 0.001 cent to the bucket :)

The only problem I've had with videos recorded in this way is the bout of learning that usually happens between episodes is missing. I can see editing the content into a cohesive narrative being a lot easier though... Ps: I bought the game, and have some 24 hours into it myself because of your video series :)

I'll be honest, I get its not really time efficient for you to do this, but I really enjoy that we know how many episodes will be in the season and when to expect them, that way I'm not constantly checking the channel to see if something has been uploaded. (Yes I have notifations on, but YouTube hasn't earned a reliable reputation and I dint trust it)

Just be careful, I have watched some other series that were recorded far ahead that made an obvious huge omission that the comments were screaming about that made it painful to watch, and didn't get addressed for months. I do like videos where comments can be addressed promptly, but that also limits lots of things too. Being good is better than being fast.

What is that mysterious 22nd month? So new episode every 2 months?

If you derp something we will have to see it for the whole season? :D

I like the style but because everybody was making videos of dsp, maybe you could miss the peak of the moment everybody was looking for a bit of dsp, not catching a lot of non-subcribing viewers...

I'd prefer more live videos. Not like a livestream, but maybe a middleground? You've seem to skip a whole lot of steps in between your episodes. But mostly I'm here to catch how you've approached these steps and not to see the end result. Some more inclusion of the thinking and learning process would be much appreciated. ;) (Side effect, more videos for less time spent. ;) )

Season 1 of the Dyson Sphere is online. I did something different this time and pre-recorded and edited the whole thing over 2 long weeks. Roughly 100+h of work for 9 episodes. Honestly, I don't know if this approach will work for youtube, but it did help me make better videos and carve up my time more efficiently. I also won't flake out and get distracted, because it's already done. :P That said it's not very cost-effective to spend 12~16h per video. For reference, I pull in $0.003/view and $0.004 per YT Premium view. Thus such content is only made possible by my wonderful Patreon & YouTube members. If you wish to binge the series before it's released on YT feel free to visit www.patreon.com/posts/dyson-sphere-1-47299113
