The past few weeks have been tough my friends. It’s with much sadness I share with you this news: Yesterday we said goodbye to Indie. We know that our four footed hunting buddies don’t live forever, but we never expect a dog in the prime of their life to suddenly succumb to an illness-when they were otherwise healthy. Indie was a special dog; Sweet, energetic, fast-as-greased-lightning, and a great hunter. She brought so much joy to our family… and to the people who came hunting with us from all over the world. In her 6 and 1/2 years with us Indie experienced more than most dogs would in 10 lifetimes. She traveled with us to many states, and Canada. She hunted in nearly every type of habitat you can imagine, and retrieved thousands of birds. She appeared in music videos, television shows, and was the star of many videos on my YouTube channel Surviving Duck Season. Around the home Indie was calm and gentle. She was quite remarkable around our daughter Hadley as a newborn. Indie had a big life and we’re grateful to God for the time we had. We love you Indie. Thanks for loving us and making us so proud.
