I Hate Everything

IHE UPDATE

Hey everyone long time no see. It’s been long enough where I figure I should probably explain what is going on with me. The last few months seem to have aligned in the perfect way to prevent me from making IHE vids. I caught covid for a second time, it didn’t wipe me out as bad as the first bout, however, it still knocked me for a loop. Then shortly after was my second covid jab, which also wiped me out. After that, someone very important to me was hit by a car. They’re fine now but it was a shocking and disruptive event to go through.

It has been a running gag on my channel for years now that I always have a cold. And you won’t believe this but as I write this I am on the recovering end of what I assume is a particularly bad case of the flu. I actually recorded half the audio for my next video, then the day after the flu began and my voice has been ruined ever since while I wait to recover.

All of these viral mishaps (compounded with the general stress of the last couple of years) have left me feeling physically and mentally exhausted and waaaaay behind schedule. I want nothing more than to be back on the grind but if I continued to ignore my health I couldn’t see the long term effects doing me much good.

Unlike a lot of other channels I do everything myself, I write, record and edit everything because that’s the fun part for me. I genuinely appreciate the patience you have shown me over the years, it means a lot to me and inspires me to keep going. I’ve received so many nice messages and support from people asking if I’ve died or vanished, so the least I can do is explain where I’ve been despite the onslaught of overly-sharing cliches so many content creators rely on. Hiring editors is an option, but I find such creativity and joy in the editing stage, and it’s where a lot of the personality and humour come from.

Anyway thanks for reading, I’m anxious to get back to work when my voice has healed. I probably should have written this months ago, but hindsight is 2020. See you soon.

The search for the worst is genuinely one of the best playlists on YouTube.

@Schonecek

No worries, Alex. As someone in their teens who had to deal with a lot of health issus already, I completely understand you wanting to focus on yourself more. You have no responcibility to us, we can wait. Get better soon.

Literally watched a bunch of your videos like 2 days ago and they’re so thorough and entertaining that despite having seen them many times before, I was cracking up. Point being, take your time, years of hard work have left you with a back catalogue extensive and entertaining enough to afford you as much time off as you need.

Take as long as you need, man. Breaks for physical and mental health are way more important than pumping out videos. As someone who's also named Alex and also struggles with mental health issues, I would be a hypocrite if I didn't give you a pass! Stay strong buddy

@innatebubble121

Hope you get better, bud. Don’t forget we’ll always support you. Can’t wait to see what’s next from the channel… and Sardonicast. Sardonicast is pretty dank.

Ye no worries. Glad you’re doing okay, and glad you are still interested in making content. We can wait.

@DestinyObake

Glad you’re alive! Take all the time you need. Doing anything while sick can suck all the joy out of it, so don’t make yourself hate your job too.

@TheAngelgirl7

Sorry you’ve been going through so much. I’ve also been having a pretty bad time overall… Dont wanna sound cliche but it’s probably been the worst 2 years of my life. Almost at the beginning of the pandemic my uncle died on a car crash, found out something terrible about my ex that to this day has me traumatized, my dog of 16 years died, I too got covid like 2 months ago and it took my grandma 2 weeks ago. Things are looking better though and Im really looking forward to new videos from you, I rewatch some of your search of the worst videos form time to time when Im feeling a little down or I cant sleep… It really helps me forget about all the bad stuff and just worry about terrible movies and your charming/funny delivery. Thank you IHE, you make life a little less sad.

@TehNinjaFlute

Feel better, Alex! I used to get constant colds and would lose my voice for weeks at a time, which sucked cause I am a singer 😞 But here is a "tea" recipe I drink to help me when I am congested and / or having vocal issues: Boil water and add thin slices of oranges, lemon, and ginger. Let it steep for a bit before drinking with honey. For anyone who decides to try it, you'll have to play with the mixture a bit for the right combination of orange, lemon, ginger, and honey, but my general guide is more orange and lemon when my voice is just a bit weak, more ginger when I'm congested, and more honey when my throat is in a lot of pain. I usually adjust for what is bothering me the most at the time. Anyhoo, get lots of rest! See you when you get back

Been loving your videos for a long time and I was thinking recently that it's entirely possible your SFTW video on suicide squad is the video I've watch the most on youtube ever. Your videos are always so entertaining and I know I speak for all your subscribers when I say take whatever time you need and that we enjoy watching your videos as much as you enjoy making them (aside from some particularly painful SFTW videos I'm sure). You're an actual fucking king of youtube and one of my favourite channels, genuinely really hope you get well soon, you're amazing. I'm sure we all can't wait to see what's next!

@Terra-rc8zs

Your videos help me get through my anxiety and i want to thank you for that.😊 I enjoy watching your “Trying to Watch” videos, Especially the Not Disney/Dreamworks collections. Hope you get better soon❤

@BrendonTerra

Hope you get better man! Your videos make me laugh like no one else’s. Watching all those movies has probably weakened your immune system somehow.

@seanjenkins4459

Take as much time as you need, I’ll always support you! I know what it’s like to have a shit immune system, it sucks when everyone thinks your being lazy or faking being sick to get out of work. Especially when you mix that with anxiety it can absolutely wipe you out in a special way

@All4Tanuki

Thanks man <3 I'm so glad you stick by doing it all yourself - I don't have much respect for these "youtubers" that hire a whole staff to script & edit these videos that they're just a presenter for. That's tv shit. You're a real youtuber.

@-k-b-

Take your time man, you're easily one of the best YouTubers. Your search for the worst series especially is some of the funniest shit
