Hey everyone long time no see. It’s been long enough where I figure I should probably explain what is going on with me. The last few months seem to have aligned in the perfect way to prevent me from making IHE vids. I caught covid for a second time, it didn’t wipe me out as bad as the first bout, however, it still knocked me for a loop. Then shortly after was my second covid jab, which also wiped me out. After that, someone very important to me was hit by a car. They’re fine now but it was a shocking and disruptive event to go through.
It has been a running gag on my channel for years now that I always have a cold. And you won’t believe this but as I write this I am on the recovering end of what I assume is a particularly bad case of the flu. I actually recorded half the audio for my next video, then the day after the flu began and my voice has been ruined ever since while I wait to recover.
All of these viral mishaps (compounded with the general stress of the last couple of years) have left me feeling physically and mentally exhausted and waaaaay behind schedule. I want nothing more than to be back on the grind but if I continued to ignore my health I couldn’t see the long term effects doing me much good.
Unlike a lot of other channels I do everything myself, I write, record and edit everything because that’s the fun part for me. I genuinely appreciate the patience you have shown me over the years, it means a lot to me and inspires me to keep going. I’ve received so many nice messages and support from people asking if I’ve died or vanished, so the least I can do is explain where I’ve been despite the onslaught of overly-sharing cliches so many content creators rely on. Hiring editors is an option, but I find such creativity and joy in the editing stage, and it’s where a lot of the personality and humour come from.
Anyway thanks for reading, I’m anxious to get back to work when my voice has healed. I probably should have written this months ago, but hindsight is 2020. See you soon.
