Mike, thanks. Over the last couple of years you helped me think about how to take better quality photographs. Visualising the image you want to end up with really helps - as does some planning with regard to light, position of sun (or lack of), time of day, subject, composition, and knowledge of the way the magic triangle works. I’d just been randomly but occasionally lucky before; now I can better decide when to make a picture.
