A single day after being entered into the YouTube Partnership application automatically, they liked us so much we have already been accepted.
*screams expletives running around the room*
Four months ago I/we had no idea what we were getting into, no idea what we were doing, we just had a goal to make videos I would want to watch. I cannot thank you enough for turning that into something so fun and amazing after such a short amount of time. But, enough of the dumbstruck stuff, what does this mean for the channel:
1) I can add links to videos (after accidentally shooting a video thinking I could already)
2) I have extra upload perks to allow us to make cooler things. I like this one.
3) I have direct contact with the YouTube support team - this is just fancy and doesn't really mean anything.
4) Monetization.
As for what I will do with the money, after joining Dollar Shave Club so I stop rocking a scraggly beard in videos, I plan on hiring an editor. Editing is on my resume, but it's an auxiliary skill for me, and having a dedicated professional for this sort of thing will allow us to push the envelope of what Football Manager content can be, while freeing up the countless hours I spend doing what a professional could do in five minutes. This will, of course, allow me to make more videos. Aaaand these videos will also be better. It's really a win/win.
While I had a plan for what to do when we got here, it is amazing to me we are here already. Thanks for the love, I'm working hard to earn it.
P.S. Big video coming out tomorrow - it's my favorite content so far. A video I've wanted to make from the beginning. I hope y'all enjoy it.
