Max ZT, bandleader of House of Waters, and one of the world’s pioneers of the hammered dulcimer, has released a new Son Lux remix of his track "And Bend." Son Lux is a band that has operated as something akin to a sonic test kitchen and was behind the Oscar nominated score for Everything Everywhere All At Once.
Originally a part of Max’s improvised debut solo album, Daybreak, the remix presents loops of unique and beautiful textures of the dulcimer. Incorporating synth and drum & bass overdubs, we can hear the intricacies of the instrument paired with an ambient downtempo vibe. Of the video, director 3lot3ro says “The serene melodies echoed in my mind reminding me of waves drifting in and out in the vast ocean. After a series of early singles that have been warmly received world-wide, we finally now have the entire new album from the amazing David Walters! The words "Soul Tropical" define the spirit of the record. We could add a third word, International, as the album was recorded between Marseille, Paris, Sheffield (with English producer, Tom Excell Musicl (Nubiyan Twist)) and L.A. (where it was mixed by Captain Planet). 13 tracks definitely made for the dance floor.

Bob Holroyd is one of the UK’s foremost electronic composer/producers and this spring he releases his tenth album, ‘Football Chants and Nursery Rhymes’. "Beige is his lartest single and it will be the first track on the album. Combining organic instruments and sound manipulations, Holroyd bridges the gap between ambient, neo-classical and electronica. His work has been remixed by artists including Four Tet, Coldcut, Extrawelt, Mogwai and Synkro. His music has also been used for film & TV including the film The Dark Knight and the TV series The Sopranos, True Blood and Lost.
