Multidisciplinary Dance Artist from Lisbon Portugal, Tara Chantelle Gomez has dedicated her life to Dance ever since moving to India to undergo intensive training & study in Odissi, Classical Indian Dance & Yoga.
Being a nomadic artist & pilgrim at heart has lead her to travel to far places to learn directly from the masters, and research their culture. She believes the direct transmission and immersion in the artistic study at its birth place, are the gateways to a truthful understanding and embodiment of the Art.
Today, Tara is a global respected performance dance artist, educator and cultural curator. Being the founder of Nakshatra Productions, Jiya, Festival da India; co-founder of Hafla Tarab & Ecstatic Dance Lisbon, and curator of Nataraj Dance Stage @Boom Festival.
Tara is currently based between Portugal and India and works on her cultural platform Narthaki Arts & Culture.
