Malaynah Cordova, known professionally as Malaynah, is a talented rapper, singer and songwriter who has made a name for herself in the Music Industry. She was born and raised in the east inner-city town of Los Angeles known as Boyle Heights. At an early age she developed not only a love for performing, but also an affinity for various genres of music. Malaynah truly embraced both old school and new school Hip-Hop music all her life and at the age of 12 she began writing songs, secretly rapping in her bathroom mirror. Her lyrical and musical influences include artists such as Lauryn Hill, J Cole, Kendrick Lamar, and Beyonce. Growing up, she studied classical music and was trained in theory, sight reading, technical studies, musical history, and performance. At 16, Malaynah booked her first show at a small venue in Downtown, Los Angeles where she was able to perform some of her original songs - It was the beginning of her musical career.
