"The Pink Panther Show" aired in the US from 1969 to 1980. The program was a showcase of cartoon shorts starring the Pink Panther character, the Inspector, the Ant & the Aardvark, Misterjaw and others. Most cartoons were connected with memorable bumper segments. And, like many cartoon series' of the era, featured an adult laugh track edited by Charley Douglass. Alas, when "The Pink Panther Show" was syndicated throughout the 1980s, it reverted back to the theatrical versions, which meant no laugh track.
The purpose of this page is to pay tribute to the famous laughter used throughout the 1960s and early 1970s, edited by Douglass. The sounds of that laugher are as famous and memorable as the shows themselves. On this page, you will find the Pink Panther shorts, as they originally aired on "The Pink Panther Show"; with the laugh track. If the original laugh-tracked version could not be found, I recreated one and added it myself.
