Since its inception in 1997, the Krell Institute, a 501(c)(3) corporation, has provided technical resources, knowledge and experience in managing technology-based education and information programs, including two of the most successful fellowships offered by a U.S. science agency: the Department of Energy Computational Science Graduate Fellowship (DOE CSGF) and the DOE National Nuclear Security Administration Stewardship Science Graduate Fellowship (DOE NNSA SSGF).
Krell has strong ties to the DOE Office of Advanced Scientific Computing Research (ASCR) and the high-performance computing and supercomputing communities.
Our YouTube channel features videos posted on the ASCR Discovery and DEIXIS Online websites, from the DOE CSGF and DOE NNSA SSGF program reviews, and from other sources.
Krell is named after the advanced civilization that once inhabited the planet Altair IV in the classic 1956 science fiction movie "Forbidden Planet."
