Every minute there is the equivalent of one garbage truck of plastic waste is dumped into the ocean. That comes out to a total of 8 million metric tons of plastic waste a year & it is destroying our environment. Packaging, single use plastic & water bottles are just a few of the items that are considered waste and as a result wind up in the ocean and land.
Most of the world’s population still lives within the confines of basic human needs. They don’t have the ability to think of tomorrow, thinking that they may not have food for their last meal of the day. The communities in which these people live in are full of plastic litter.
Plastic Bank is turning this plastic waste into a currency that can be exchanged to help lift someone out of poverty and transition into a self sustaining life of entrepreneurship while removing plastic waste from our planet.
