LOU
LOU is a Greek, queer artist based in Berlin, born and raised in a deprived suburb of Athens, Menidi.
Her new work reflects the contradictions of being queer in an overwhelmingly Orthodox Christian and patriarchal country like Greece. She reinvents the characteristics of Greek “Kagouras”, breaking the narrative of heteronormative love, toxic masculinity while she explores queerness as a rite.
