The Paw Project official

The Paw Project's mission is to educate the public about the painful and crippling effects of cat declawing, and to promote animal welfare by ending the practice of declaw surgery (which is actually amputation of the claws and portions of the toes).

In the US, 6 of 10 pet owners consider their pets to be family members. 36 million households have a cat in the home. Approximately 25% of these cats are declawed.

With your help, we've made declawing illegal in 8 California cities: Los Angeles, San Francisco, Berkeley, West Hollywood, Burbank, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills and Culver City. It was banned in New York state, Denver, and in 7 of 10 Canadian provinces. We currently have legislation ongoing in FL, NJ, WV, MA and RI (+ Canada, Quebec and Ontario).

Together, we can end declawing. You can help! Join us.
