The City of Chicago did not lose everything in the fire of 1871 and much of its history is preserved in books by journalists and photographers that had curiosity of their surroundings. Nature and land boundaries were documented by amateur scientists and the U.S. military. I create videos to help us understand what we have lost compared to what we have now. I also cover history after the great Chicago fire and do my best to present in a non-baits fashion.
