Māori Minds was created by consultant psychiatrist Dr Kiri Prentice, of the iwi (tribes) of Ngai Tūhoe and Ngāti Awa, to share educational videos exploring Māori philosophy and mental health, filmed at locations across Aotearoa, New Zealand. Videos are posted monthly.

Kiri shares friendly videos that highlight the value of mātauranga Māori (Māori traditional knowledge) in re-framing health more broadly and in a less stigmatizing manner. Shifting focus from deficits and disease to mana motuhake (self-determination) and kotahitanga (unity). A great resource for health professionals and the public alike.

Why not watch some videos and learn more?

If you would like to collaborate get in touch via the website www.MaoriMinds.com.
