With payola simmering, FM airwaves burgeoning, and Beatlemania taking hold, the 60's were a fascinating time for popular music. The explosion of regional record labels made it relatively easy for wannabe rock starts to commit their music to vinyl. Derived from rock and roll, a number of new subgenres were taking form. At the same time regional scenes were being established. All of this brought about a wealth of great music - most of which would quickly be relegated to obscurity. That is where this channel comes in.
