Music has been my greatest way to connect with God for a long time. It's also been a great distraction from him, becoming a gateway to pride and self-worth. The radio silence of the past several years has been a painful journey of figuring out/re-kindling my identity as a child of God and realizing that God is still good and still in control even when life gets complicated.
Through hurts, hang-ups, habits, single life, dating, engagement, marriage, miscarriage, new babies, postpartum depression, mothering toddlers, teaching, and just everyday frustrations, the truth of God's love has renewed my hope again and again, and recently he's been giving me NEW SONGS to sing. I'm so excited to share them with you! ...when they’re ready lol.
