The University of Houston Organ Program
For 90 years, the Organ Department at Westminster Choir College has earned a reputation as one of the foremost institutions in the world for organ study. The department offers degrees in Organ Performance and Sacred Music at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Both degrees prepare students for careers as sacred musicians, recitalists, collaborative musicians, conductors, and/or pedagogues. The organ curriculum includes intensive study in areas of performance practice and literature, hymnody, accompanying, improvisation, and conducting. Aside from studying with Westminster’s acclaimed organ faculty, students have the opportunity to participate in master classes with notable pedagogues and performers from around the globe.
