Fun flying in gliders and single engine aircraft mostly in South Florida. Also included are some clips of flights in other places made while on vacation. Flying has given me great joy. I learned most of my soaring tricks from my glider instructor, Burt Compton, back in 1999. I am grateful to all the instructors and pilots who helped me along the way.
I tell people that humans have walked around on the ground for a hundred thousand years looking up and wondering what it would be like to fly. Only in the last 100 years have we been able to do it.
I hope the videos will help convince you to give flying a try if you haven't already! Parents look for EAA "Young Eagles" flying events for free rides for the kids and "Eagle Flight" events for adults. Check out the Soaring Society of America's website "Where to Fly" to see if there is a glider operation near you. Airplane and glider intro flights can be had all over America for $100 - $200.
