Kohhen El Kef project is inspired by the tales of the Kohhen - or Oracles, in Arabic - who left their mark on pre-Islamic Arabia with their poetry, their verbal jousting, their visions and their divinatory art. Kohhen El Kef is an ode to their memory, where the voices of these oracles resonate and echo.

El Kef is a town perched on a mountain in north-western Tunisia and a very old capital of Tunisia. Kohhen El Kef is a bridge between the poetic Arabia of yesteryear and the Berber visual, poetic and aural landscape of North Africa.

This debut album is released on June 5, 2024. It combines Arabic and Hindustani sounds with the post-rock and trip-hop influences of bands such as Massive Attack and Radiohead.
