Hailed as "fearless" (Opera News) with a “powerful…and gorgeous voice" (MinnPost), Greek-American soprano Alexandra Loutsion continues to be recognized for her passionate performances on the operatic stage. Her repertoire encompasses many of opera’s dramatic leads:, Strauss’ Elektra and Salome, Puccini’s Turandot and Tosca, Verdi’s Lady Macbeth, and Abigaille, Wagner's Brünnhilde, and Beethoven’s Fidelio among others. She has been seen on stages spanning North America including Canadian Opera Company, The Santa Fe Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, San Francisco Opera, Washington National Opera, Pittsburgh Opera, The Dallas Opera, Palm Beach Opera, Virginia Opera, among others. She represented the United States as a quarterfinalist in the Francisco Viñas International Singing Contest in Barcelona, Spain, and was a winner of the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition District Auditions. She holds degrees from Ithaca College and the University of Southern California.
