Kent Farbach
This site represents the piano music and personal compositions that I feel closest to.The works span a wide range of styles / genres.
My aim is to use this site as a repository for my own compositions (for various instruments) as well as occasional performances by students and members of my family.
I have also added a link (below) to my official composing web address at the Australian music centre.
The old Viennese music in my favourites is by my great grand uncle Philip Fahrbach. Philip was both friend and collaborator with Johann Strauss over many years, and originally played flute in the Strauss orchestra before branching out on his own. He wrote hundreds of works for chamber ensemble and orchestra, and Emperor Ferdinand appointed him to the coverted post of musical director of imperial balls at one stage.
