The heavy metal band Disturbed came together trough a matching of a band with a singer. Longtime friends dan donegan on guitar, steve fuzz on bass and mike wengren on drums played together in Chigaco some time before hooking up with the singer David Draiman in 1996.
Disturbed was originally known as Brawl. Brawl consisted of vocalist Eric avalt, Guitarist dan donegan, Bassist Steve Fuzz and drummer Mike Wengren. Eric Awalt left the band shortly after the recording of a demo tape, and the three other members went on advertising for a singer. They posted an ad in the local music publication in Chicago. David Draiman answered the ad, and he became a member of the band in 1996. He renamed the band DISTURBED.
