Initially a project to see what it took to connect live events directly with an online presence, Four Track Nights started as an open mic night. Held in bookshops, basements, coffeeshops, in fact anywhere that would have us, and recorded using only the 4 tracks available on my old ropey Belkin Tunestudio, iPod Nano and some cheap mics. Some recordings are still on SoundClound if you are interested. soundcloud.com/four-track-nights
Eventually work and life meant that 4TN had to be packed away, life continued on. Many years later, with a different approach to the project. 4TN now offer a space to support experimental audio artists collaborating and creating immersive, hybrid, virtual performances combined with experimental visual/lumia works in a unique curatorial meta project.
