Recess With Jesus began as a whimsical longing for Tess who was working part-time as a church secretary, attempting to be a good wife and mom, and taking online Bible classes. When Tess discovered Bible art journaling and found that she could add creative meditation to her already set priority of time with Jesus everyday, a whole new hunger for the Word of God grew up in her.

Tess's passion is to encourage you to dig into the Word of God in color to experience the joy that she has found in a growing, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ; to be disciplined in quiet time with God but also to simply enjoy time in His presence with a pen or paintbrush in hand.
