This is just a quick reminder that you can build stuff anywhere. This was my apartment in San Francisco. I used to build furniture by running an extension cord from my kitchen to the roof. I used mostly a jigsaw and a circular saw to cut wood and a drill to assemble it. I built only from solid boards, because there was no way I could get a sheet of plywood up there. But it was so satisfying to make things for the apartment. I made a coffee table, a DVD cabinet, a kitchen pantry, and lots of small things.

There is nothing fancy about this standing desk/workstation, but it’s cheap and you can make it in about an hour. It's not as rough-and-tumble as a workbench, but perfect for assembling projects or using for art projects. This is very lightweight and only requires four 2x4 studs to build the frame. You'll also need a couple pieces of plywood for the top and the back. https://youtu.be/zoeCziN_voY?si=g8MDG...

Can art be objectively "bad"? Has social media fundamentally changed the way we perceive art? Can art be quantified by the number of eyeballs that view it? In this episode of @creativeculturepod , I talked with CJ the X @cjthex a philosopher whose work explores the intersection of art and our cultural engagement with social media. Creative Culture is all about exploring creativity. It exists on its own separate channel, not WWMM. I believe the woodworking community thrives on creativity, and we stand to gain by staying inquisitive, curious, and embracing connections with artists, creators, and imaginative thinkers beyond our specific field. Podcasting is a fun hobby and I absolutely love interviewing artists and creative people. Thank you! 😊👍

Recently on @creativeculturepod I had a conversation with @electriclinda about the spiritually transformative power of tattoos. Electric Linda is a master tattoo artist with over two decades of experience. This conversation explores the depths of tattoo culture, artistic expression, and the personal journeys intertwined with every inked piece. Her photorealistic work is absolutely stunning!
