Isaac Aesili is a Māori musician, DJ and music producer from New Zealand based in Bangkok. Formerly the producer and creative force behind Funkommunity, Sorceress and Karlmarx and currently as a solo artist, his music has been supported internationally by DJs such as Bill Brewster, Gilles Peterson, Benji B, and Jamz Supernova. A world-renowned musician, Isaac is a member of the Lord Echo band and his trumpet playing features on many collaborations including ‘Midnight in Peckham’ by Chaos in the CBD (Rhythm Section) and ‘Layer’ by Julien Dyne (Wonderful Noise/BBE). His music includes soul, reggae, jazz, Brazilian and Afro-Latino styles with hip-hop, R&B, house and electronic music because “it's all about the fusion…” Isaac’s new 'Runaway' EP is out on Bastard Jazz.
