Kon Kan
Barry Harris, singer, songwriter, producer, guitars/keyboards & creator of Kon Kan is also co-creator of remix/producer team Thunderpuss. He was the first club DJ in the world to write, produce & perform a world-wide Top 40 hit; “I Beg Your Pardon” - a project he named Kon Kan spring of '88.
1998 Barry teamed up with DJ/Producer Chris Cox. Together as duo Thunderpuss , produced more than 40 #1 Billboard dance remixes for Madonna, Britney Spears, Cher, Mary J. Blige, Janet Jackson, etc.
Thunderpuss is best known for '98 Whitney Houston’s “It’s Not Right But It’s Okay” remix, & Barry Harris' 2000 "Dive In The Pool (Let's Get Soakin' Wet) megahit.
Barry also continued Kon Kan in 2014 rerecording Pardon Me/Rose Garden '14. He reissued Kon Kan's 1994 "Vida" L.P. word-wide digitally 2020 (previously only released in Canada) & recorded & released new Kon Kan songs in 2023! In 2024 "Barry Harris' Kon Kan" performed in Toronto, San Salvador & an 8 city Brazil Tour. Lot's more coming in 2025!
