The inspired union of the Grammy-nominated DJ, producer and songwriter Sam (formerly of hip-hop duo N.A.S.A.) and Nashville production and songwriting vanguard Shmuck has origins in late 2019, when the two artists started collaborating in earnest. Their debut album came together organically over the years, spanning the sounds of gorgeous 2step, the clattering bombast of trap, house music’s insistent pulse, and the starry-eyed outlook of synth-pop.
